Healthy living must become a lifestyle when you are a gardener. Is easy to grow food, but it is much harder to incorporate growing food into your routine, so the food you grows ends up on your plate.
This morning, I picked two large kale leaves and some mint to make smoothies for myself and my sons. It took my a while to get into a routine to do this. I need the dishes to be out of the sink so I can wash the kale. The blender also must be clean. Last, I need frozen fruit. Unfortunately, I do not have any fruit growing in my current garden. It is a lot of work starting over after moving into a new house.
In the morning, I just want to eat. I don’t want to drive to the store for fruit or wash dishes just to make a smoothie. Now, I make sure my sink is ready the night before, and I have frozen fruit on hand. Sometimes, I will pick and clean the kale the night before, too. It takes work, but I’m up for the task.

Remember, anyone can be a gardener. You just need to get ready, get set, and grow!
