Our collard and kale greens were doing well until the catepillar invasion. Eric Carle was right...these caterpillars are very hungry. They have eaten more greens in the past days than we have. I don't really have a solution to this problem except for checking my leaves and removing the caterpillars and their eggs which is hard because their color provides the perfect camouflage. We garden organically so we are going to look into a more efficient organic solution for next year's garden. This is the worse catepillar destruction we have experienced in our years of gardening and we hope to never experience it again.
